Filter Care

There are numerous brands of hot tub using all manner of different filter design. It is alway uneconomic for retailers to stock every possible make especially if Chinese and manufactured a few years ago!  Filters can differ not only by a few cm's but also pleat count/density plus innovations in design can mean a different filter appearance will still do the job.

At Windsor Maidenhead we have attempted to stock replacement filters for main brands and will attempt to source a replacement filter should you require one. It always helps if you can bring your existing or old filter to our showroom to ensure an accurate match along with the make and model of your spa/hottub or above ground pool if available. We now require payment at the time of ordering providing our suppliers have the filter in stock.

Bestway filters

Filters can be expensive items especially if a rare brand so the message is not to neglect your filters!  We stock filter cleaning chemicals and hose attachment to aid cleaning.  We also stock filter basket/filter socks and special sponges for use in spa skimmers to trap body oils and lotions before they hit your filter!

FILTER CARE

Remove and hose down your filter making sure you get between the pleats, do not use a pressure washer as this will damage the material.

Water Wand Life range

Soak your filter in a filter cleaner chemical immersing the filter completely. We recommend Bayrol Spa Guard Filter Brite.
If you do not have a large enough container you could clean half of it at a time allowing the cleaner to soak overnight and hosing the cleaned portion off in the morning, then leaving the other half to soak.

Remove, hose off and allow to dry COMPLETELY before replacing to ensure bacteria only killed by desiccation are zapped!

NEW PRODUCT

Filbur Clean nClear

We now also stock a filter cleaning spray  by Filbur which is useful for large filters where sourcing a suitable soaking container can be a problem or for small filters where Filter Brite is less economical.

Replace filters regularly as per manufacturers instructions, it's sometimes useful to keep a spare filter for use whilst the cleaned one is drying as a spa should not be used without filters in place.
