Surprisingly even fresh tap water needs treatment when you first fill your pool or hot tub.
A chlorine shock should be used followed by water testing and adjustment of pH and a regular sanitising regime. We stock chlorine, bromine and active oxygen to cater for all types of pools and spas depending on your filtration methods and pool construction.
Stagnant and untreated water can soon become a breeding ground for bacteria. You can never be too careful with water quality especially when children love splashing and diving under and getting water in eyes, ears, mouthes and up noses! It can seem that the materials to run a safe pool cost more than the pool itself however the pleasure it gives and peace of mind is priceless!

Our showroom houses up to two working spas both regularly tested and treated for safety.
We offer pool and spa owners advice on water chemistry and water quality problem solving. We also stock a highly effective spa sanitising treatment for anyone moving into a property with an existing hottub or just having acquired one second hand.
HELP MY POOLS GREEN!
During the height of the swimming season in the summer it is too easy to turn your back then discover a green pool. A heated pool basking in the suns rays with inadequate water circulation, too high a pH and insufficient sanitiser and algaecide will quickly turn green. Similarly a nice blue pool left covered and neglected for a few days as its raining will delight in becoming pea soup.
Even when not swimming please keep a check on pool chemical and treatment levels. Once a pool is green it requires a shock, 24 hour filtration, flocculant to help filters remove dead algae, frequent backwashing, brushing down of walls and vacuum floor often straight to waste to clear the problem and using algaecide. A pool will not return to sparkling blue overnight and may take several days. Small above ground pools may be easier to empty however in-ground pools can incur damage if drained in the wrong conditions. Prevention is always better than cure.
